Ivanishvili: Remaining Cabinet Posts to be Named Next Week
Civil Georgia, Tbilisi / 13 Oct.'12 / 17:55

Georgian Dream leader, Bidzina Ivanishvili, who is set to become PM, said on October 13 that selecting nominations for remaining cabinet posts in his incoming government “got quite complicated for me.”

He told journalists that some of the ministerial nominees would possibly be named on Monday and few more days would be required to nominate all the remaining candidates.

Ivanishvili announced nominees for 13 out of 20 ministerial posts in his incoming cabinet on October 8.

Consultations within the Georgian Dream coalition have been ongoing since then to select nominees for remaining posts, including: Education Minister; Minister of Finance; Minister in charge of IDPs issues; Minister of Environmental Protection; Minister of Energy and Natural Resources; Minister of Economic and Sustainable Development; State Minister for Employment (this latter post is likely to be scrapped in Ivanishvili’s cabinet).
