Self-Immolation Victim Dies

A woman succumbed to her burns injuries last night, more than three weeks after she set herself on fire outside the ministry in charge of displaced persons, according to the hospital in Tbilisi where the victim was treated.

Nana Pipia, who was an internally displaced person from Abkhazia, poured petrol on herself and set herself ablaze on October 27 in protest against the authorities’ refusal to provide her dwelling in the capital city.
