CDM Candidate Congratulates Ugulava

Giorgi Chanturia, a Tbilisi mayoral candidate nominated by Christian-Democratic Movement, congratulated incumbent mayor Gigi Ugulava, whom exit poll results put far ahead of his rivals.

“I want to sincerely congratulate Gigi Ugulava with this success. We should all acknowledge that these [elections] were success for Georgia, because it was a step forward towards development of democracy,” Chanturia told the Georgian Public Broadcaster.
