President Saakashvili said that Russia’s agreements with breakaway South Ossetia and Abkhazia on border protection were yet another attempt to legalize occupation of those territories.

“But you cannot legalize something that is fundamentally illegal. It is very dangerous to everybody, including Russia itself,” he told journalists in Warsaw, AFP reported.

Saakashvili participated in the congress of European People’s Party in the Polish capital.

In Warsaw he also met with his Polish counterpart, Lech Kaczynski. Saakashvili said at a joint news conference after the meeting that Georgia’s struggle would continue unless complete de-occupation of the Georgian territories.
