President Saakashvili was quoted by the Russian news agencies as saying that threat of war with Russia remained.

“I think several days ago we were very close to that, and the threat still remains,” Saakashvili was quoted by RIA Novosti and Interfax news agencies as saying at a meeting with a group of visiting Russian journalists in Batumi.

“Georgia is not going and is not able to have a war with Russia. We do not even have so many combat army units and NATO will not help us in this.”
