Civil Georgia, Tbilisi / 1 Feb.'06 / 00:48

The Iranian news agency IRNA reported quoting Iranian Deputy Oil Minister for International Affairs Mohammad-Hadi Nejad-Hosseinian as saying that Iran will export a total of 30 million cubic meters of gas to Georgia over the course of a month.

The total price of the deal amounts to USD 7 million, according to IRNA.

Georgia has placed this USD 7 million as a cash deposit and the exact price will be agreed in the future, according to IRNA.

The Georgian authorities, who have refused to disclose the amount of deal with Iran, stated that Georgia will have to pay “a symbolic price” for the Iranian gas.
